LAST YEAR’S RECORD: 21-13 (2nd in the Eastern Conference).
FRANCHISE HISTORY: The Sun qualified for the playoffs last season for the first time in five seasons, making it nine of the 15 years they have been in existence that they have qualified for post-season play. After a bye in the first round of last year’s playoffs, the Sun lost to Phoenix, 88-83, in the single-elimination second round. They have finished with the best regular-season WNBA record twice (2005, 2006) and advanced to the WNBA Finals twice (2004, 2005).
